1. Overview
This website is operated by Rustic Bee (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or purchasing from our store, you agree to these Terms of Service.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time by posting changes on this page.
2. Products
Our products are handmade beeswax candles. Due to their natural and handcrafted nature:
Slight variations in colour, texture, shape, and finish may occur
Burn behaviour may vary between candles
Decorative and moulded candles may drip or burn unevenly
These variations are normal and are not considered faults.
3. Candle Safety & burning instructions (IMPORTANT)
By purchasing and using our candles, you agree to follow all safety instructions.
Never leave a burning candle unattended
Never burn candle on or near anything that can catch fire
Always burn candle within site
Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials
Burn on a fire resistant flat surface
Trim wick to 6mm before each lighting
Keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings
Decorative/figure candles must be burned on a drip-safe dish
Stop use when only 15mm of wax remains
Keep candle away from drafts & vibrations
Do not burn to long - avoid burning candle for more than 4 hours at a time
Extinguish Safely - ensure the flame is completely out before leaving the room.
Never move a candle while the wax is liquid or while the candle is lit
Never fall asleep while candle is burning
We are not liable for fire, damage, loss or injury caused by misuse or failure to follow safety instructions.
4. Orders
We reserve the right to:
Refuse or cancel any order
Limit quantities
Correct pricing or listing errors
Cancel orders suspected of fraud or misuse
If an order is cancelled after payment, a full refund will be issued.
5. Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).
As we are not GST registered, prices do not include GST.
Payment is required at checkout via our approved payment providers.
We reserve the right to change prices at any time without notice.
6. Shipping
Orders are typically processed within 2–5 business days.
Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to courier delays outside our control.
We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers or incorrect address details.
Risk in products passes to you upon delivery.
7. Returns & Consumer Guarantees
If your order arrives damaged or faulty, contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos and order details.
You may be entitled to remedies under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (New Zealand).
We do not offer returns for change of mind unless required by law.
8. Website Use
You agree not to:
Misuse or interfere with the website
Attempt fraudulent activity
Use the site for unlawful purposes
We reserve the right to restrict access if misuse is detected.
9. Errors & Inaccuracies
We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions, and to change or update information at any time without notice (including pricing, descriptions, or availability).
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our website and products are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that all information will always be accurate or current.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Rustic Bee is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from use of our website or products.
Our total liability for any product claim is limited to the purchase price of the product.
12. Indemnification
You agree to use our website and products responsibly. You agree to be responsible for any loss, damage, or claims arising from your misuse of our products or breach of these Terms.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to our website or services at any time if we believe you have breached these Terms or engaged in misuse.
Termination does not affect obligations already incurred (including payment obligations).

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy (available on this website).
15. Intellectual Property
All content on this website (including text, images, branding, and product designs) belongs to Rustic Bee and may not be copied or reused without permission.
